Cheesy, Creamy Alfredo Chicken Casserole - Forevermama

Posted: 26 Nov 2013 04:33 AM PST

Nothing says comfort like a good chicken casserole. Perfect for using left-over chicken or turkey! Hey ladies & gents, use it when you don't know what to do with all the leftover Thanksgiving turkey. I normally cut up the chicken and mix the sauce ingredients the night before. Next day - all there is to do is put everything together, stick it in the oven and voila, dinner is ready in no time for those rushed weekday nights! Note that this serves 10ish, therefore you may want to halve it depending on size of family. -- posted by ForeverMama

Grpa Best Homemade Turkey Gravy

I don’t throw the word “best’ out lightly, but this is seriously the best gravy that I’ve ever did. You’ll just want to ladle yourself a bowl full of gravy and just eat it like soup. It’s luscious, delicate and has so many dimensions of flavor. I make this gravy simultaneously with turkey, so it’s best if it’s made together. However, you can certainly replicate it using butter and chicken broth. -- posted by CHEF GRPA

Peanut Butter Roasted Chicken

Once, when mom and I were in the kitchen, doing I don't exactly remember what, but probably roasting a chicken, I looked up from where I was staring into the distance and said, 'I wonder what the chicken would taste like with peanut butter'. Point of clarification, I wasn't high, but I was craving peanut butter at the time and it was too close to dinner for a sandwich, and we were having roast chicken. It's not a difficult mental leap. And for the record, it tastes fucking fabulous. -- posted by Chef #1800331640
